Hello! That’s a great question, and I think there are actually two important parts in answering your question.
Firstly, the question is whether being Christian means you have to follow a certain pattern of behaviour. The simple answer is no.
To be a Christian, all you have to do is to admit that you have rejected God in your life, and that you deserve God’s punishment, but Jesus Christ died for you and took your punishment instead so you can be accepted completely and freely by God because of what Jesus has done. You do not ever do anything yourself to be accepted by God. God accepts you, the whole person, completely, without regards to whatever background you’re from and whatever personality you have, because of what Jesus has done for you.
So why do Christians do lots of Bible studies, go to Christian camps and go to church and think about God so much? It’s not because they have to, it’s because they want to. They love studying the Bible because it is the Word of God. They love coming together as a group because they love each other. They think about God and Jesus lots because they really appreciate what God has done in their lives.
The second part of the answer to your question is how one can be accepted in the Christian community.
A person belongs to the Christian community first and foremost by becoming a Christian. A person cannot become a Christian by simply belonging to the community. Everyone must make a decision for themselves to believe in Jesus.
This is why again you don’t have to do certain things to be accepted by other Christians. Other Christians accept and love you because they themselves are loved by God. If you are not yet a Christian, they want to share with you the love of Jesus. When you become a Christian, they want to encourage you in your walk in life. Some of the ways they do that are through the activities you mentioned. But when you become a Christian, you may find that you will start to find these activities more attractive and valuable compared to other ways of passing time.
