It’s not what I say about God that is important, but what God has to say about himself that is important. And funnily enough, God knows you and I will ask about His origins:“How were you created?”
To answer this let’s look at the book of Isaiah.
God says:
“You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD,
“and my servant whom I have chosen,
so that you may know and believe me
and understand that I am he.
Before me no god was formed,
nor will there be one after me (Isaiah 43:10).
Though I don’t have the space here to discuss the whole context of this passage, be reassured what God is saying: there is no other god beside Him.
In Isaiah 43:13, God elaborates about his power, his authority and his ability, He says
“No one can deliver out of my hand.
When I act, who can reverse it?”
No one can act against him and win. That’s amazing. Is God lying? God can’t lie. It’s not in his character to lie. We need to know and believe what he says. And that is what he challenges us to do. God has told us who he is. So we must be dealing with an awesome and mighty God who can’t lie.
