Will Jesus come back to earth? And if so what will happen?

Yes Jesus will come back to Earth, although we don’t know the time or the place. In Matthew 24:36 it says ‘concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son (Jesus), but the Father (God) only’.

As Christians, we are believers that Jesus came to earth to save mankind from their sins. This was predicted approximately 600 years before it actually happened by the prophet Isaiah, who lived in Old Testament times. God also promised us that he would send Jesus - he promised this to the King of Israel at the time, King David, again, in Old Testament times.

In simple terms Christians are:

- people who believe Jesus is the Son of God
- people who believe Jesus came to earth 2000 years ago to save mankind from their sins
- people who live in accordance with the teaching of Jesus, and who have accepted Him as the Lord of their life

Just as Jesus birth and life was predicted by Isaiah and was promised by God, we Christians believe that Jesus will come again, as this is talked about many times in the books of the New Testament. In the book of Revelation it says:

‘Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.’ Revelation 1:7
